Riverbed has launched a new suite of AI-driven network observability solutions aimed at helping enterprise IT teams identify and resolve issues across complex hybrid environments in real time. The announcement comes alongside news that the company\u2019s observability-related bookings have risen by 92% year on year in the first half of 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The rollout includes new capabilities under the company\u2019s Intelligent Network Observability Essentials bundle and the release of the xx90 appliance series, which supports Riverbed\u2019s AppResponse, NetProfiler and Flow Gateway offerings. The xx90 appliances are said to deliver up to three times the performance of previous systems at the same price point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The move reflects a broader push by Riverbed to consolidate its position in the growing AIOps market, offering customers greater automation, performance and cost flexibility amid rising enterprise complexity and digital service expectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dave Donatelli, CEO of Riverbed, said the company\u2019s latest products were designed to reflect changing customer priorities. \u201cWe\u2019re unveiling next-generation systems that combine increased performance with AI-driven insights, enabling organisations to streamline toolsets, simplify network management and automate for efficiency,\u201d he said. \u201cWith the Riverbed Flex offer, customers also gain greater licensing flexibility and investment protection.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The newly introduced Essentials bundle is available with the purchase of AppResponse or NetProfiler and includes several tools aimed at supporting proactive remediation:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The tools are available under Riverbed\u2019s Flex Subscription model, which allows customers to reallocate licences across hardware, virtual or cloud deployments. It also provides OPEX-based pricing and aims to reduce the total cost of ownership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The xx90 appliance series is designed to meet the throughput and scale requirements of today\u2019s distributed enterprises. AppResponse 11.21, running on xx90 systems, supports real-time triage of encrypted IPSec ESP tunnel traffic and offers sustained packet capture at over 50 Gbps. The system\u2019s modular storage can scale beyond 2.4 petabytes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, NetProfiler and Flow Gateway version 10.29 offer enhancements including three times faster reporting, two times higher throughput, dynamic flow load balancing and full support for Versa SD-WAN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The company said these capabilities are critical for organisations seeking full-fidelity network data to power AI-based observability platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Riverbed\u2019s announcement signals its intent to maintain a competitive edge in the observability space by aligning product innovation with emerging demands in enterprise infrastructure.
