The latest version, Documentum 7.3, significantly reduces total cost of ownership (TCO) and time associate with upgrades by creating easier delivery and deployment of new applications and enabling a cloud-first strategy, both of which address the demands of existing customers and the broader content management community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday, nearly all enterprise organisations take a \u2018virtualised-server-only\u2019 approach to new applications in their data centre,\u201d said Mark Arbour, Head of Product Management for Documentum Products, Dell EMC Enterprise Content Division. \u201cThis push toward virtualisation and cost reduction has driven adoption of the \u2018software-defined data centre\u2019 worldwide as IT faces pressures to compete with external commercial services. With today\u2019s announcement, we are well positioned to provide unprecedented agility and efficiency to help customers deliver applications at the speed of business.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During the last half of 2016, ECD engaged customers and ECM experts to prove out the significant cost savings and benefits of adopting Documentum 7.3.
