{"id":139534,"date":"2026-10-02T11:58:14","date_gmt":"2026-10-02T10:58:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.intelligentcio.com\/me\/?p=139534"},"modified":"2026-10-02T11:58:15","modified_gmt":"2026-10-02T10:58:15","slug":"cloudflare-launches-basin-to-simplify-enterprise-data-analytics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.intelligentcio.com\/me\/2026\/10\/02\/cloudflare-launches-basin-to-simplify-enterprise-data-analytics\/","title":{"rendered":"Cloudflare launches Basin to simplify enterprise data analytics"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>Cloudflare has launched Basin, an open, serverless data platform designed to help developers and enterprises collect, store, catalogue and analyse data without managing dedicated infrastructure, becoming locked into a single vendor or paying data transfer fees.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cloudflare has launched Basin, a data platform designed to provide developers and enterprises with a simpler way to build applications powered by their own data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Built on Apache Iceberg and Cloudflare R2, Basin provides a serverless environment for ingesting, storing, cataloguing and querying analytical data across existing tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cloudflare said traditional data analytics can require organisations to operate dedicated servers, combine separate systems for collecting and analysing information and pay fees when moving data between clouds. Basin is designed to remove much of this infrastructure burden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Data is stored using Apache Iceberg, an open, industry-standard format, enabling compatible tools to access it directly without copying or converting the information.
