Jordan has signed a memorandum of understanding with Saudi Arabian artificial intelligence company HUMAIN, signalling a push to strengthen national AI capabilities and deepen regional technology cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The agreement, signed by Jordan’s Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, forms part of the National Council for Future Technology’s strategy to accelerate emerging technology development and expand partnerships with international technology companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The memorandum establishes a framework for technical cooperation, knowledge exchange and AI capability development, although the government has not disclosed investment commitments, implementation schedules or specific deployment projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The agreement was highlighted in a Jordanian government performance report which identified 14 achievements across digital infrastructure, cybersecurity, telecommunications and postal services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jordan is also introducing Irtiqa, a national Digital Transformation standards framework designed to measure technological maturity across government institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The framework establishes 34 standards covering 16 dimensions and 10 principal areas, allowing public agencies to assess digital performance, identify weaknesses and develop measurable improvement plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cybersecurity cooperation is another priority. Jordan’s National Cybersecurity Center signed a separate memorandum with the UAE Cyber Security Council, strengthening regional collaboration on digital security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The center also completed its sixth Masar cybersecurity training programme and participated in the Global Quantum Drill competition, ranking seventh among 80 teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, Jordan’s Telecommunications Regulatory Commission conducted nationwide surveys of 5G frequencies, tested 92 radio devices and resolved six cases of communications interference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Together, these initiatives reflect Jordan’s efforts to build domestic technology expertise while expanding regional partnerships.
