Commercial Bank, Qatar\u2019s first private bank, has been running its Young Bankers\u2019 Summer Internship Programme focusing on its digital banking channels.<\/p>\n
The successful internship programme is now into its fourth consecutive year and is designed for children of customers between the ages of 13 and 17.<\/p>\n
Commercial Bank invited all customers, via the Bank\u2019s social media channels, to enroll their children and received more than 250 applicants.<\/p>\n
The programme has been helping students gain work experience in a customer-facing environment under the guidance of branch staff.<\/p>\n
Joseph Abraham, Commercial Bank Group CEO, said: \u201cBy providing rewarding real-life work experience for youth in Qatar focusing on our digital banking channels, the Young Bankers Summer Internship Programme is a great example of how our business objectives can intertwine with our CSR responsibilities to the Qatari community.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Young Bankers are placed within the bank\u2019s network where they have been explaining and encouraging the use of digital banking channels such as mobile and internet banking.<\/p>\n
