{"id":26028,"date":"2018-05-29T08:43:53","date_gmt":"2018-05-29T07:43:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.intelligentcio.com\/me\/?p=26028"},"modified":"2018-05-30T09:17:45","modified_gmt":"2018-05-30T08:17:45","slug":"mimecast-appoints-general-manager-for-middle-east","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.intelligentcio.com\/me\/2018\/05\/29\/mimecast-appoints-general-manager-for-middle-east\/","title":{"rendered":"Mimecast appoints general manager for Middle East"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mimecast.com\/\">Mimecast Limited<\/a>, a leading email and data security company, has appointed Jeff Ogden as general manager for the Middle East.<\/p>\n<p>In his new role, Jeff will oversee the company\u2019s UAE operations and growth in the region, and will be responsible for educating organisations about evolving cyberattacks and how to build a cyber-resilience strategy for email.<\/p>\n<p>Jeff has been working in technology for over 35 years, 17 of which have been in IT security. Under Jeff\u2019s leadership, Mimecast will continue to build a strong and loyal channel programme, ensuring all resellers share a deep knowledge of the company\u2019s technology and services, alongside a commitment to customer experience.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMimecast has successfully been operating in Dubai for just over a year and Jeff\u2019s appointment is the next step to support an aggressive growth strategy in the Middle East,\u201d said Brandon Bekker, managing director at Mimecast MEA.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis appointment will bolster our existing strong customer relations and help us establish new alliances and partnerships.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Prior to joining Mimecast, previous senior executive roles Jeff has held include leading Symantec\u2019s managed security services and consulting division in the Middle East.
