{"id":38637,"date":"2019-06-24T09:46:13","date_gmt":"2019-06-24T08:46:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.intelligentcio.com\/me\/?p=38637"},"modified":"2019-06-26T08:29:21","modified_gmt":"2019-06-26T07:29:21","slug":"telecom-egypt-and-juniper-networks-to-build-network-for-residential-and-businesses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.intelligentcio.com\/me\/2019\/06\/24\/telecom-egypt-and-juniper-networks-to-build-network-for-residential-and-businesses\/","title":{"rendered":"Telecom Egypt and Juniper Networks to build network for residential and businesses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Companies building fast, secure and reliable network for residential and businesses across fixed and mobile services.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Telecom Egypt, Egypt\u2019s first integrated telecom operator, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.juniper.net\">Juniper Networks<\/a>, a leader in secure, AI-driven networks, have a signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Cairo cementing Juniper\u2019s position as a strategic technology provider for Telecom Egypt.<\/p>\n<p>This MoU will highlight the companies\u2019 intent to scope the Egyptian business landscape for shared opportunities to provide IP-based, high-performance networking solutions to enterprises. Telecom Egypt will also have the option to become an authorised resale partner of Juniper\u2019s technology solutions in Egypt.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Telecom Egypt, the country\u2019s longest established and most prominent telecom operator, is also upgrading its own network infrastructure to include Juniper Networks <a href=\"https:\/\/www.juniper.net\/us\/en\/products-services\/routing\/mx-series\/index.page\">MX Series 5G Universal Routing Platform<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.juniper.net\/us\/en\/products-services\/switching\/qfx-series\/\">QFX Series Data Center Switches<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.juniper.net\/us\/en\/products-services\/security\/srx-series\/\">SRX Series Next-Generation Firewalls<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This will create a secure, high-capacity infrastructure from the core and data centres to the network edge and is uniquely designed to carry fixed, mobile, voice and data services traffic for domestic and business connectivity, including 5G services when launched.<\/p>\n<p>Egypt is increasingly focused on Digital Transformation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), announcing a four-step strategy, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mcit.gov.eg\/ICT_Strategy\">ICT 2030<\/a>, to support new ICT initiatives that will help to drive the country\u2019s economic growth domestically, regionally and internationally.<\/p>\n<p>With the ongoing drive around Digital Transformation, it is expected that Egyptian enterprises will have increased demand for best-in-class networking solutions, services and professional support to help create fast, secure business infrastructures.<\/p>\n<p>Telecom Egypt\u2019s new network is being built using numerous routing, switching and security solutions from Juniper, comprised of Juniper Networks <a href=\"https:\/\/www.juniper.net\/us\/en\/products-services\/routing\/mx-series\/index.page\">MX Series<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.juniper.net\/us\/en\/products-services\/switching\/qfx-series\/\">QFX Series<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.juniper.net\/us\/en\/products-services\/security\/srx-series\/\">SRX Series<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Telecom Egypt has deployed Juniper\u2019s single operating system, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.juniper.net\/us\/en\/products-services\/nos\/junos\/index.page\">Junos OS<\/a>, simplifying and streamlining operations.<\/p>\n<p>Juniper is also providing a range of professional support services to Telecom Egypt to help plan, build and operate its network infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>Adel Hamed, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Telecom Egypt, said:\u00a0\u201cThe opportunity to agree to an MoU with Juniper and explore the business market potential for transformative networking technology is very exciting for Telecom Egypt as it seeks to pioneer innovation in Egypt.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Telecom Egypt appreciates the collaboration with Juniper Networks because Juniper\u2019s technology is highly reliable and scalable and it also provides an excellent return on investment.
