Emirates\nNBD, a leading bank in the region, together with the DIFC FinTech Hive, the\nlargest financial technology accelerator in the Middle East, Africa and South\nAsia (MEASA), are the first in the region to certify FinTech start-ups who have\nsuccessfully used the Emirates NBD\u2019s API (Application Programming Interface) Sandbox\nto create and demonstrate working innovative financial solutions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The five FinTech start-ups\nthat successfully presented their product integration with Emirates NBD\u2019s API\nSandbox, and graduated from the initiative with a certificate of collaboration,\nwere as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Launched\nby Emirates NBD Future Lab in 2018, the API Sandbox is a first in the region,\nmarking an\nimportant milestone in the bank\u2019s AED one billion Digital Transformation\nprogramme. The platform, which was opened up to developers and FinTech\nfirms, consists of over 200 APIs and 500 end points covering retail, corporate and SMEs.\nDevelopers also have access to over five million simulated customer\ntransactions based on the BIAN (Banking Industry Architecture Network) model. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are pleased to support leading accelerators\nsuch as the DIFC FinTech Hive, while connecting with start-ups and technology\nproviders to find new ways to solve old and new problems as we build banking\nsolutions for the future.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Emirates NBD\u2019s API\nSandbox equips FinTechs and developers with the right tools to transform their\nideas into working prototypes which integrate with the bank\u2019s sandbox\ntechnology architecture, with the goal of accelerating the development and\nmarket introduction of digital banking products and services, while recognising\nFinTechs globally. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The programme was open\nto all registered FinTechs in the DIFC FinTech Hive, allowing them to do their\nintegration work, and present their integrated value propositions to senior\nleaders from Emirates NBD, thus proving their technology\u2019s ability to integrate\nwith a real bank, and while also standing a chance to possibly pursue further collaboration\nwith the bank. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Raja Al Mazrouei, Executive Vice President of DIFC\nFinTech Hive, <\/strong>said: \u201cIt\u2019s\nbeen great to see the progression of DIFC-based FinTechs through this process,\nand really highlights the role the centre is playing in driving the future of\nfinance.
