{"id":42870,"date":"2019-10-30T11:39:53","date_gmt":"2019-10-30T11:39:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.intelligentcio.com\/me\/?p=42870"},"modified":"2019-11-05T08:24:48","modified_gmt":"2019-11-05T08:24:48","slug":"bahrain-football-association-adopts-communications-technology-from-avaya-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.intelligentcio.com\/me\/2019\/10\/30\/bahrain-football-association-adopts-communications-technology-from-avaya-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Bahrain Football Association adopts communications technology from Avaya"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The <a>Bahrain\nFootball Association<\/a> (BFA) has smashed its way to the top of the league with\nan advanced communications deployment using technology from Avaya. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The governing body of football in\nBahrain \u2013 which this year were crowned winners of the West Asian Football\nFederation WAFF Championship \u2013 the BFA this year required an upgrade to its\ntelecommunications services, which are consumed by its employees. With a focus\non remote working, enabling bring-your-own-device policies (BYOD) and security,\nthe organisation found the win in an intelligent solution from Avaya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That solution, delivered by\nFakhro Electronics, an Avaya Diamond partner, came in the form of Avaya\u2019s\nadvanced telephony and communications technologies, and the latest Avaya\nDesktop Experience devices. This included the award-winning Vantage K155, the\nindustry\u2019s only customisable desktop device that provides the advantages of a\ndeskphone and the flexibility of an application platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe had to provide the latest\nintelligent communications platform, enabling users to communicate remotely while\nmaintaining security over every type of device \u2013 including desk phones and software-based\nphones. We also wanted to allow our executives to use video calls, which is\neasy with the Vantage device,\u201d said Majdi Aldoseri, Head of Technology Support\nand ICT, Bahrain Football Association. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFor everyone else, the Avaya communications\napplication supports video conferencing for all types of devices and operating\nsystems, including smartphones, and enables a security layer for secure voice\nand video communications.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The application, Avaya IX\nWorkplace, delivers an unforgettable communications experience that works as\nwell on a browser, mobile device or room-based system as it does on the\ndesktop. Its user friendliness was a key benefit for the BFA, as it would\nenable employee and executive buy-in. The application allows users to easily\naccess their contact lists, click to call, start a video session or schedule\nand join a meeting &#8211; all from the same familiar and intuitive user interface\navailable across devices, from any location. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The underlying platform,\nmeanwhile, delivers market-leading telephony with comprehensive features for\nany size business. It can be delivered through the cloud and adapts to evolving\nbusiness needs because it is built on open platforms and can be developed without\nneeding upgrades. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Indeed, that aspect was\nparticularly attractive to the BFA, which also wanted a solution that could\nhelp keep costs down. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOne of our key requirements was\nan ability to control costs related to the telephony. Since deploying, we\u2019ve\nseen a noticeable improvement in the communications and a reduction in the cost,\u201d\nsaid Aldoseri. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And while Avaya\u2019s platforms are\ncompatible with any device, the BFA saw the combination of the solution and Avaya\u2019s\ndevices as a winning team, opting for Avaya J139 IP desktop phones for\nin-office employees. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBy bringing a top-flight user\nexperience to the BFA, Avaya and its partner Fakhro Electronics has enabled the\norganisation to take full advantage of rich feature sets.
