A data centre for the new Administrative Capital close to Cairo will be built and operated by Orange Egypt. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Administrative Capital for Urban Development (ACUD) has\nsigned an agreement with Orange Egypt to build and operate the new\nadministrative capital’s data centre and cloud computing platform. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The data centre is an infrastructure milestone to\nestablish the concept of the \u2018smart capital\u2019 and is considered to be one\nof the key technological hubs in Egypt and the African continent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Orange Egypt has been awarded with the contract to build and\noperate the data centre according to the latest international standards based\non the company’s multinational expertise in providing innovative technologies\nand solutions in co-operation with key international players operating in the\nICT sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to this agreement, Orange Egypt will provide the\nmain infrastructure to establish and operate the data centre that will enable\nthe Administrative Capital to exploit smart technologies to provide various\nservices including but not limited to, providing IoT solutions, cloud\ncomputing, Artificial Intelligence platforms, Triple Play services (Internet \u2013\nfixed phone – TV) and facility management utilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eng. Yasser Shaker, CEO and Managing Director of Orange\nEgypt, expressed his pleasure to co-operate with the Administrative Capital as\nit is one of the important milestones for the modern Egyptian state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shaker added that Orange possesses the human and financial\ncapabilities and expertise to manage this project in a timely effective manner\nin compliance with the latest international standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Major General Mohamed Abdel Latif, Managing Director of the\nAdministrative Capital Company for Urban Development, stated that the agreement\ncomes in line with the Administrative Capital Company\u2019s strategy to exploit all\ntools of modern technology to build the first Smart City in Egypt, operating by\nArtificial Intelligence technology, noting that the Administrative Capital is\nfirst out of 14 new cities to be built in Egypt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of the signing, Major General Ahmed Zaki Abdeen,\nChairman of the Administrative Capital for Urban Development, hailed the\nagreement stating that the decision to award Orange Egypt with the contract to\nbuild and operate the data centre was based on the latest international\nstandards and specifications based on the company’s expertise in providing\nintegrated telecommunications services. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also praised the efforts exerted by the ACUD\u2019s employees\nto provide a global model for a sustainable Smart City that provides smart\nservices for its residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The agreement was signed by Eng. Mohamed Abdel Latif,\nManaging Director of the Administrative Capital Company for Urban Development\nand Hisham Mahran, Chief Enterprise Line of Business Officer at Orange Egypt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They were in the presence of Major General Ahmed Zaki Abdeen,\nChairman of the ACUD; Eng.
