Batelco, the leading digital solutions provider in Bahrain,\nhas announced the launch of its \u2018SmartConnect\u2019 service on SD-WAN 2.0 technology,\nto support cloud connectivity, automation and Digital Transformation services\nfor Batelco\u2019s Bahrain based and international enterprise customers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Batelco will complement its existing business services by\nproviding customers with simplified management of, and dynamic support for,\ntraditional connectivity, cloud and IoT applications. This development follows\nthe signing of an agreement between Batelco and Nokia during GITEX last year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Batelco is the first in the Kingdom to offer the SD-WAN 2.0\n\u2018SmartConnect\u2019 service as part of its digital business strategy, where SD-WAN\n2.0 technology can use Software Defined Networks\n(SDN) over any type of Wide Area Network (WAN). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Batelco customers can enjoy advanced control over their\nnetwork, allowing network traffic segmentation where data transmissions can be\nprioritised on reliable pathways and less-critical traffic routed to public\nInternet connections. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
With the new service, Batelco\u2019s enterprise customers can\nalso reduce their IT admin costs by managing their corporate networks,\nincluding branches, data centres and the public cloud, using one unified\ndashboard. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The dashboard will support customers managing key\nfunctionalities, such as user access, security as well as quality and\nperformance parameters, across the network. This service will support Batelco’s\nDigital Transformation strategy for customers across various sectors such as\nbanking, healthcare, education, hospitality, transportation and energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
