A survey from SANS Institute has revealed how Cyber\nThreat Intelligence (CTI) has evolved in EMEA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The SANS 2020 CTI Survey has reported that CTI has\nevolved from small, ad-hoc tasks performed disparately across an organisation\nto, in many cases, robust programmes with their own staff, tools and processes\nthat support the entire organisation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIn the\npast three years, we have seen an increase in the percentage of respondents\nchoosing to have a dedicated team over a single individual responsible for the\nentire CTI programme,\u201d said Robert M. Lee survey author and instructor at SANS\nInstitute, a leader in cybersecurity training and certifications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In fact, survey results indicate that just under 50%\nof respondents\u2019 organisations have a team dedicated to CTI, up from 41% in\n2019. In total, more than 84% of organisations reported having some kind of\nresource focusing on CTI. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
While the number of organisations with dedicated\nthreat intelligence teams is growing, results also demonstrate a move toward\ncollaboration, with 61% reporting that CTI tasks are handled by a combination\nof in-house and service provider teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe continue to see an emphasis on partnering with\nothers, whether through a paid service provider relationship or through\ninformation-sharing groups or programmes,\u201d said Lee. \u201cCollaboration within\norganisations is also on the rise, with many respondents reporting that their\nCTI teams are part of a co-ordinated effort across the organisation.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
