Cybersecurity\nhas emerged as the top challenge facing IT audit leaders and professionals, according\nto the Protiviti and ISACA IT audit survey<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Protiviti\nin partnership with ISACA, a global association helping individuals and\nenterprises in the IT audit\/assurance, governance, risk and information\nsecurity space, conducted the 8th Annual IT Audit Benchmarking<\/em> survey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This had\nparticipation from 2,252 CAEs, IT audit executives and professionals worldwide,\nincluding more than 220 professionals from the Middle East region. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Sanjay Rajagopalan, Managing\nDirector, Protiviti Member Firm, responsible for Internal Audit and Financial\nAdvisory Services for the MENA region, said: \u201c<\/em>Cybersecurity remains the number one challenge to tackle with 80% of\nsurvey participants from the Middle East indicating that they are including cybersecurity\nand privacy audits in their audit plan this year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThis is very much in line with the global trend,\nas IT Audit cannot let its guard down by merely conducting high-level\n\u2018check-the-box\u2019 audits.
