New dates have been announced for the Smart Data Summit 2020 in\nDubai. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following the coronavirus pandemic, event organisers have\nrearranged the timing of the event which will now take place on October 26 and\n27 at the Convention\nCentre, Sofitel The Palm Resort & Spa, in Dubai. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A statement from event organisers said: \u201cOver the past few\nweeks, we have been monitoring closely the global coronavirus (COVID-19)\nsituation and assessing whether the Smart Data Summit 2020 should take place.\nParticularly as it affects the majority of our participants who are unable to\ntravel due to restrictions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cUntil recently we were confident\nthat the situation would not impact our ability to deliver the event and bring\ntogether the regional Big Data and analytics community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhile the UAE remains safe to\ntravel and continues to adhere to and implement the highest levels of medical\nmeasures and hygiene protocols, we feel that the delivery of a world-class\nevent will be inevitably impacted by travel restrictions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWith this in mind, and following\nclose consultation with UAE government authorities, our event partners, key\nstakeholders and hosts, we have taken the decision to postpone the Smart Data\nSummit 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cBy opting to defer the event to\na later date, we believe that we will be in a better position to deliver the\nSmart Data Summit 2020 at full capacity offering our event partners and participants\nthe value and exposure they have come to expect from us. The new dates will\nalso align the summit with Expo 2020 Dubai, offering an enhanced experience for\nall attendees.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
