{"id":46438,"date":"2020-03-23T10:42:39","date_gmt":"2020-03-23T10:42:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.intelligentcio.com\/me\/?p=46438"},"modified":"2020-03-25T11:52:23","modified_gmt":"2020-03-25T11:52:23","slug":"international-maritime-industries-company-goes-live-with-ifs-applications-10","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.intelligentcio.com\/me\/2020\/03\/23\/international-maritime-industries-company-goes-live-with-ifs-applications-10\/","title":{"rendered":"International Maritime Industries Company goes live with IFS Applications 10"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><em>Employees at the largest emerging maritime facility in the Middle East enjoy faster time-to-value with their IFS industry solution.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>IFS, the global enterprise applications company, has announced\nthat International Maritime Industries &nbsp;Company\n(IMI), a landmark joint venture between Saudi Aramco, Lamprell, Bahri and\nHyundai Heavy Industries, has concluded the first deployment of IFS Applications\nto support maintenance, repair, overhaul (MRO) contracts and back-office\noperations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Located in Ras Al-Khair on\nthe east coast of Saudi Arabia, IMI, when fully operational, will be the\nlargest maritime facility in the region and globally unique in terms of its mix\nof services across multiple market segments: newbuild and MRO for commercial\nvessels including very large crude carriers (VLCCs), bulk carriers, offshore\nsupport vessels (OSVs) and offshore jackup rigs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To promote productivity and\nensure efficiencies across its operations, the company needed a modern, fully\nintegrated ERP solution with robust functionality, designed for the maritime\nindustry. Following a comprehensive evaluation process that included major ERP\nvendors IMI chose IFS Applications. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the successful\nimplementation of phase one, IFS Applications now supports mission-critical\nprocesses and operations and is fully integrated with finance, human capital\nmanagement (HCM), payroll and procurement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are impressed with the\ncapabilities of IFS Applications 10 and look forward to a long and fruitful\npartnership with a global ERP provider that has a successful track record in\nsupporting companies in the shipbuilding industry,\u201d said Emad Al-Humam, Vice\nPresident of Information Technology at IMI. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe open architecture of the\nIFS platform empowers us to easily connect our best-of-breed systems to our ERP\nbackbone and thereby gain invaluable operational insights.
