ICT Health, the region\u2019s clinical technology systems integrator, has\u00a0announced its plan to launch a set of cloud services that monetises collaboration between care stakeholders whilst helping care providers virtually engage their patients. Traditionally, most hospitals have focused on adopting Health IT to drive efficiencies through process automation in the hope of improved clinical and financial outcomes. However, in today\u2019s connected world, a true digital care facility has to look beyond its physical boundaries and leverage mobility to take \u2018care\u2019 to the patient.<\/span><\/p>\n

As per data released by IDC last year, spending on IT services and products among health care providers in Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey and the UAE are expected to grow at double digit, with healthcare being the second-fastest-growing sector after government, in terms of IT spending. Saudi Arabia is the fastest-growing healthcare IT market in the MEA region, forecast to expand by around 13.4% annually, followed by United Arab Emirates.<\/span><\/p>\n

With HinaiX, ICT Health plans to interoperably link ambulatory and acute care encounters with home care and wearable data through secure exchange of meaningful and standards-based health information. Aided by the increased availability of higher bandwidth in GCC countries, better connectivity and smart mobile devices, this meaningful collaboration amongst healthcare stakeholders will help bring to fruition new age care access and delivery channels. This would also help create alternative business models for care providers to sustain their competitive advantage.<\/span><\/p>\n

ICT Health unveiled HinaiX to health care providers and Ministry of Health officials at an event held at The Palace Downtown in Dubai.
