more than 75% of Log4j scanners originated in Russia<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These, and other trends, are included in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.a10networks.com\/resources\/reports\/2022-ddos-threat-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>2022 A10 Networks DDoS Threat Report<\/em><\/a>, which provides detailed insights, including the origins of DDoS activity; the growth of DDoS weapons \u2013 the computers, servers and IoT devices that can potentially be used in DDoS attacks \u2013 and botnets; the role of malware in the propagation of DDoS weapons and attacks; and the steps organizations can take to protect against such activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Organizations must act now \u2013 Employ Zero Trust principles<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On March 21, 2022, the Biden-Harris Administration issued guidance urging US. organizations to act quickly to protect against cyberattacks and state-sponsored cyber warfare given the on-going Russia-Ukraine conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The guidance, while aimed at US-based organizations, details a sense of urgency for organizations globally to reevaluate their security posture. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Employing Zero Trust principles can not only protect networks but also ensure that they are not being used to launch attacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A10\u2019s security-led solutions for DDoS protection, TLS\/SSL inspection of encrypted traffic and application delivery security capabilities can provide identity-based and context-based Zero Trust policies for specific enforced access.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cRecent events underscore the often devastating impact that cyberattacks have on governments and businesses around the world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;A10 Networks tracks the origins of DDoS weapons activity, in addition to other attack vectors, in order to arm customers with useful threat intelligence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;This is a critical component of a Zero Trust framework to help organizations better anticipate and mitigate cyberattacks, and also ensure networks are not inadvertently being weaponized,\u201d said Dhrupad Trivedi, President and CEO of A10 Networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a testament to A10\u2019s technology innovation, Frost &amp;
