Malwarebytes, the provider of\u00a0malware prevention and remediation solution for consumers and businesses, will begin operations in the Middle East. The global firm, which is based in Santa Clara, California, will begin operations in Dubai in April and make significant hires in the coming weeks.<\/span><\/p>\n

Malwarebytes<\/a><\/span> has other EMEA operations in Ireland, The UK, Estonia, France and Germany and will look to take advantage of the significant demand for security solutions in the region. The firm\u2019s strategy in the Middle East will be strongly channel focused and it will announce distribution partners in the coming months.<\/span><\/p>\n

To coincide with the expansion, Malwarebytes will exhibit at the Gulf Information Security Expo and Conference (GISEC). At the show, the company will showcase its Endpoint Security solution<\/span><\/a> that blocks unknown and known malware and ransomware threats, before they deliver malicious code that can compromise business networks.<\/span><\/p>\n

Malware and ransomware threats continue to grow exponentially in 2016 with sophisticated phishing and malvertising attacks being uncovered everyday. Just last week, Malwarebytes uncovered a massive malvertising campaign<\/span><\/a> that attacked major online publishers such as msn.com, nytimes.com, bbc.com, aol.com and newsweek.com, with the ability to compromise hundreds of millions of its readers and subscribers.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Middle East has some of the largest malware infection rates in the world. Since 2012, every country in the region has had at least double the number of infected systems<\/span><\/a> than the global average. This, according to Anthony O\u2019Mara, Malwarebytes Vice President of EMEA, makes the region highly important for the company.<\/span><\/p>\n
