Still, the number of attacks in 2022 in the UAE (71 million) was more than the combined total in 2019 and 2020 (37.3 million and 19 million, respectively).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOrganisations today face an evolving threat landscape where threat actors are finding new and creative ways to stay ahead of the enterprise,\u201d said Mohamed Abdallah, Regional Director META, SonicWall. \u201cCyber-risks and their impacts on organisations globally continue to dominate headlines and boardrooms. The&nbsp;<em>2023 SonicWall Cyber Threat<\/em>&nbsp;<em>Report<\/em>&nbsp;helps elevate us as a credible source and strengthens our ability to provide sound security measures to our customers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SonicWall\u2019s patented Real-Time Deep Memory Inspection (RTDMI) technology identified a total of 465,501 never-before-seen malware variants in 2022 \u2013 a 5% year-over-year increase and an average of 1,279 per day.
