{"id":8687,"date":"2016-05-19T12:21:34","date_gmt":"2016-05-19T12:21:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.intelligentcio.com\/me\/?p=8687"},"modified":"2016-05-19T12:21:34","modified_gmt":"2016-05-19T12:21:34","slug":"xerox-to-launch-two-new-inkjet-presses-at-drupa-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.intelligentcio.com\/me\/2016\/05\/19\/xerox-to-launch-two-new-inkjet-presses-at-drupa-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"Xerox to launch two new inkjet presses at drupa 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.xerox.com\">Xerox<\/a> has announced it will launch two new inkjet presses, the Xerox Brenva HD Production Inkjet Press and the Xerox Trivor 2400 Inkjet Press, at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.drupa.com\/\">drupa 2016<\/a>, May 31 \u2013 June 10 in D\u00fcsseldorf, Germany.<\/p>\n<p>The presses are the first in a new series of inkjet offerings to come from Xerox; Brenva to the cut-sheet inkjet market and Trivor 2400 with the Xerox IJ Print Server powered by Fiery to the continuous feed inkjet market.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are focused on expanding our inkjet portfolio with more choices and greater capabilities for print providers to grow their businesses,\u201d said <em>Robert Stabler, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Global Graphic Communications Business Group, Xerox.<\/em> \u201cWith the addition of Brenva and Trivor 2400, we\u2019re making inkjet more accessible and affordable to a larger number of print providers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Carving out a new space in the cut-sheet inkjet market<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Xerox is targeting the space \u2013 dubbed by InfoTrends as the Zone of Disruption \u2013 that sits below the gap between high-end toner and low-end inkjet presses with Brenva. Incorporating many of the paper-path components of the Xerox <a href=\"http:\/\/www.office.xerox.com\/digital-printing-equipment\/digital-press\/cap-color\/enus.html\">iGen<\/a>, Brenva offers automation and reliability features to maximise press productivity including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An inline spectrophotometer to assist with calibration and profiling;<\/li>\n<li>Object-oriented colour management to distinguish text, graphics and images and optimise the image quality of each accordingly;<\/li>\n<li>K-only mode so it will run as a cost effective monochrome press.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Flexible for today, scalable for tomorrow<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Trivor 2400 press combines high performance and increased speed (551 feet\/168 meters per minute in color; 656 feet\/200 meters per minute in monochrome) in a small footprint.
