{"id":3312,"date":"2021-01-06T16:35:37","date_gmt":"2021-01-06T16:35:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.intelligentcio.com\/north-america\/?p=3312"},"modified":"2021-01-12T10:34:06","modified_gmt":"2021-01-12T10:34:06","slug":"jumpcloud-makes-it-easier-for-businesses-to-adopt-a-zero-trust-security-model","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.intelligentcio.com\/north-america\/2021\/01\/06\/jumpcloud-makes-it-easier-for-businesses-to-adopt-a-zero-trust-security-model\/","title":{"rendered":"JumpCloud makes it easier for businesses to adopt a Zero Trust security model"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><em>JumpCloud has introduced Conditional Access Policies to its Directory Platform making it easier for businesses to adopt a Zero Trust security model.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>JumpCloud has added Conditional Access policies to its Directory Platform, enabling IT admins to adopt Zero Trust security from the same cloud platform that they use to manage and securely connect users to IT resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Conditional Access is policy-driven control that ensures only appropriate users from known networks, known devices and with appropriate privileges, be granted access to company resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this release, Colorado-based JumpCloud is making it easier for IT teams to adopt a \u2018never trust, always verify\u2019 model in their organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The JumpCloud Platform\u2019s identity and access control provides core authentication and authorization to employee devices, networks and on-premise and cloud applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The release of Conditional Access introduces policy-driven security checks to confirm authentications are verified via trusted networks and devices managed by the organization, giving JumpCloud customers an easier path to implement a Zero Trust model.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur clients have a wide range of identity management needs, made even more complex with a global distribution of users, devices, and the networks they\u2019re signing on to,\u201d said Brian Coleman, founder of MatchstickBHM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWith JumpCloud\u2019s new Conditional Access policies, we can strengthen our Zero Trust posture with trusted identity, network and device, and manage it through a single admin portal.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>JumpCloud\u2019s Conditional Access includes four main components to support Zero Trust:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Identity Trust:<\/strong>&nbsp;JumpCloud\u2019s core directory securely manages an organization\u2019s user identities including all credential control and revocation, two factor verification and contextual data to ensure appropriate levels of permission when accessing resources.&nbsp;<\/li><li><strong>Network Trust:<\/strong>&nbsp;JumpCloud\u2019s Network Trust enables organizations to ensure authentication requests are only allowed from specific IP addresses or ranges of addresses. This restricts traffic to resources only from locations organizations know or otherwise \u2018trust\u2019.&nbsp;<\/li><li><strong>Device Trust:<\/strong>&nbsp;JumpCloud\u2019s Device Trust ensures that employees only access company resources from devices which are under company management and secured through JumpCloud\u2019s MDM and agent-based management functions. The new Conditional Access release adds the ability to more granularly define what constitutes a trusted device and prevent or allow authentication based on policy and context.<\/li><li><strong>Policy Driven Access Control:<\/strong>&nbsp;Tying these new identity, network and device trust functions together are new simple-to-implement access control policies.
