Rather than simply assigning tasks to GenAI, employees will work in a co-creator role with GenAI and begin developing AI oversight skills. In fact, nearly half of leaders and 39% of workers express interest in developing the ability to co-create with AI.

However, the report also identifies a persistent GenAI gender gap and a disconnect of AI’s benefits between leader and worker perceptions. While 63% of men report using GenAI tools at work monthly or more, only 47% of women say the same. Additionally, workers cite a lack of clear AI usage policies as their top concern.

A University of Phoenix report shows a rapid shift in how employees and employers are seeking to leverage GenAI technology.
