This Class D designation applies to the Riverbed Platform for Government, which includes Riverbed Aternity for Government and Riverbed NPM+ for Government.

The Riverbed Platform for Government is a cloud-delivered DEX solution designed to help federal agencies securely modernise IT operations and accelerate Digital Transformation initiatives. The platform is purpose-built to deliver full-fidelity data and visibility across endpoints, networks and applications in the most secure and complex federal environments.

Riverbed’s pursuit of FedRAMP Class D has been achieved during an era when the US federal government is supporting an accelerated transition from traditional on-premises to cloud-native SaaS-based systems. The federal government represents one of the largest purchasers of endpoint devices, secure digital workplace technologies and cybersecurity solutions globally. This critical certification is a major accomplishment and reinforces Riverbed’s commitment to supporting civilian agencies’ mission-critical operations.

“Achieving FedRAMP Class D (High) Certification is a major milestone and reflects our deep commitment to delivering highly secure observability to federal agencies,” said Dave Donatelli, CEO of Riverbed.

“With this certification, Riverbed is delivering a platform trusted to meet the government’s most rigorous cybersecurity requirements while helping mission-driven agencies gain the operational visibility needed to maintain performance, automate issue resolution and support critical operations in environments requiring the highest levels of security.”

The FedRAMP Class D certification represents the highest level of security compliance under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP), required for cloud systems managing the federal government’s most sensitive unclassified data.

Just as important, Riverbed uses the same core SaaS code base for both federal and commercial customers. As a result, Riverbed commercial customers directly benefit from the same hardened security architecture, operational controls, compliance processes and platform rigour required to satisfy some of the most demanding cybersecurity standards in the world.

Riverbed’s designation enables US civilian agencies to adopt its solutions with confidence while meeting the strictest security controls, including NIST, FIPS and Executive Order 14028 mandates.

Riverbed’s unified observability, digital employee experience and acceleration capabilities equip civilian government agencies with the ability to integrate data, consolidate tools and leverage AI for real-time actionable insights, delivering improved efficiency and faster problem resolution.

Riverbed helps agencies reduce mean time to repair (MTTR), automate remediation workflows, optimise software licence utilisation, enable smarter device-refresh decisions and support Green IT initiatives while maintaining reliable digital services for federal employees and citizens.

By providing a comprehensive operational view of performance for critical applications and end-users, Riverbed enables mission leaders to make timely informed decisions.

Riverbed has achieved FedRAMP Class D (High) Certification for its government cloud platform, enabling US federal agencies to deploy secure observability and Digital Transformation solutions while meeting the highest federal cybersecurity standards.
