{"id":54479,"date":"2026-10-06T10:06:58","date_gmt":"2026-10-06T09:06:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.intelligentcio.com\/north-america\/?p=54479"},"modified":"2026-10-06T10:06:59","modified_gmt":"2026-10-06T09:06:59","slug":"ussocom-awards-ditto-us17m-contract-for-resilient-tactical-edge-data-platform","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.intelligentcio.com\/north-america\/2026\/10\/06\/ussocom-awards-ditto-us17m-contract-for-resilient-tactical-edge-data-platform\/","title":{"rendered":"USSOCOM awards Ditto US$17m contract for resilient tactical edge data platform"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) is pushing resilient edge computing into frontline operations, awarding Ditto a US$17 million contract to deploy its data platform across the command.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The deal moves Ditto beyond pilot programmes and into enterprise-wide fielding, targeting a critical military weakness: maintaining a reliable flow of operational data when communications are jammed, disrupted or unavailable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Awarded through the Accelerate the Procurement and Fielding of Innovative Technologies programme, the contract will support real-time data sharing between personnel, sensors, autonomous systems and command elements operating in denied, degraded, intermittent and limited connectivity environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unlike conventional architectures built around persistent cloud or server connections, Ditto uses a peer-to-peer, server-optional model. Devices can synchronise directly, exchange updates and resolve data locally when networks fail. Once connectivity returns, information automatically converges across participating systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That architecture is designed to remove central network infrastructure as a single point of failure as adversaries increasingly target the electromagnetic spectrum and tactical communications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The contract follows three years of work with Special Operations Forces across multiple USSOCOM components, where Ditto said its technology was tested in operationally demanding environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSpecial operations don&#8217;t pause when the network drops and neither can the data,\u201d said Ditto CEO Adam Fish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The award was made through the US Air Force&#8217;s Business and Enterprise Systems Product Innovation office, building on Ditto&#8217;s existing work with Air Force Special Operations Command.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For USSOCOM, the deployment marks a wider shift towards data infrastructure engineered to keep functioning when connectivity itself becomes actively and deliberately contested.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) is pushing resilient edge computing into frontline operations, awarding Ditto a US$17 million contract to deploy its data platform across the command.
