Micrologic said the platform provides a high-capacity repository for protecting sensitive data across Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Built on the company\u2019s Cirrus cloud technology, the system creates an isolated copy of an organisation\u2019s data that can be used to restore operations following a cyberattack or other disruption. Data stored in the vault remains hosted in Canada and subject exclusively to Canadian jurisdiction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The launch comes as foreign hyperscalers dominate Canada\u2019s cloud infrastructure market. Micrologic said three US providers account for about 85% of the marketwhile Canada\u2019s cloud sector reached almost US$26 billion in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Micrologic is positioning the vault as both a cybersecurity platform and an infrastructure play aimed at strengthening national digital sovereignty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company recently secured US$45 million in financial backing from Fonds de solidarit\u00e9 FTQ and Investissement Qu\u00e9bec. It plans to invest hundreds of millions of dollars in infrastructure, research and development and its workforce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Micrologic has also signed Qu\u00e9bec Clauses with the provincial government designed to prevent the company being sold to foreign interests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CEO St\u00e9phane Garneau said the project was intended to protect essential services, maintain business continuity and ensure critical decisions involving Canadian data can continue to be made domestically during major digital security disruptions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Micrologic has launched a sovereign data vault designed to keep critical Canadian information under domestic jurisdiction, escalating the country\u2019s push to reduce its dependence on US cloud giants.
