Australia can be ‘the most cyber secure country in the world by 2024’

Tesserent CEO Kurt Hansen says Australia can be ‘the most cyber secure country in the world by 2024.’

Hansen’s claim came as Tesserent – Australia’s largest ASX listed cybersecurity company – welcomed the Australian government’s creation of a National Office for Cybersecurity – with a role for a Co-ordinator for Cybersecurity – within the Department of Home Affairs.

“As the largest ASX listed cybersecurity company in Australia, we look forward to continuing our partnership with the federal government and engaging in these important developments to help keep Australians and businesses safe,” said Hansen.

“We are deeply committed to partnering with all levels of government in Australia to drive change and promote solid cybersecurity practices. We are confident that through collaboration and engagement, we can contribute our part in making Australia the most cyber secure country in the world by 2024.”

Tesserent is the largest provider of cybersecurity consulting services to the Australian Federal Government.

Tesserent Federal has more than 170 dedicated cybersecurity experts working with over 100 Australian and New Zealand Federal and State Departments and Agencies.

Tesserent recently appointed former Australian Government DFAT and ASIO counter-terrorism and security intelligence expert Anthony Sheehan to its board.

Sheehan brings knowledge and expertise in protection of people and assets and bolsters Tesserent’s capabilities in Australia’s cyberdefense and offensive activities.
