Civica strengthens APAC local government cloud offering

Civica has acquired cloud-based facilities management solution booka – significantly enhancing its offering to local authorities throughout Australia and the broader Asia-Pacific region.

Developed by Canberra-based firm Rollercoaster Digital, booka currently supports over 4,300 stakeholders and 3,400 public facilities, ranging from libraries to parks to sporting facilities.

The solution will be integrated into Civica’s cloud-based, local government platform Authority Altitude – used by over 150 local authorities across Australia and New Zealand.

The booka solution will also be integrated into Civica’s global suite of public sector software, offering enhanced administrative efficiency and streamlining processes across a diverse range of public bodies across the world.

Civica Chief Executive Officer, Lee Perkins said:

“A critical part of our journey to become a global GovTech champion has been regular complementary acquisitions to enhance our comprehensive software offering for public bodies.

The new capabilities offered by booka will ensure we’re better able to support local authorities across Australia and the wider Asia-Pacific, ensuring they in turn can deliver even more for the citizens they serve”.

Executive Director (APAC), Ben Cowling said:

“Trusted by organisations right across the public sector, booka perfectly complements and enhances our local government offering across Australia and the wider Asia-Pacific.

By integrating booka’s innovative facilities management solution into our leading Authority Altitude platform, we are enabling local authorities to streamline their operations, freeing up more time for deeper community engagement and the improvement of services for citizens.”
