Accenture partners with Snowflake to launch Snowflake Women in Data initiative

A collaboration between Snowflake and Accenture has taken the Snowflake Women in Data initiative to launch in Australia and New Zealand.

The initiative aims to create a community of data professionals to encourage women to be an active part of a data driven future, serving as a crucial avenue for supporting women in data, as well as recognising the challenges they face.

Cathy Conroy, Director, ANZ Channel and Alliances, Snowflake, said: “Unlocking the full potential of the tech industry demands not just progress but a groundbreaking shift. Snowflake recognizes that women in data need more than opportunities; they need a robust network and support system. Success hinges on collective commitment and a conscious effort to champion diversity.”

Dalibor Ivkovic, Managing Director, Data & Artificial Intelligence Lead, Accenture Australia and NZ, said: “This initiative provides a platform for both seasoned professionals and aspiring data scientists to advance their careers. The overwhelming feedback from women in the industry reinforces the importance of initiatives like these.”

Participant Pip Sidaway, Data Product Manager Emerging Technology & Data Platforms | Information Technology, NIB, said: “It is fantastic to have these events where I can collaborate and share ideas with other women in the data field. Plus seeing these friendly faces at other data events makes me excited to get more people involved so we can grow our voice in the future of data.”
