Edgecore Networks has unveiled its 2026 Vision for Edgecore Wi-Fi, outlining a next-generation open infrastructure platform designed to accelerate innovation for managed service providers, ISPs, and enterprise networks.
The Taiwanese company says its upcoming technology blueprint reflects years of commercial deployment and advances in open networking, AI-driven intelligence and IoT convergence.
The 2026 strategy centers on building a unified, scalable and adaptive networking ecosystem that integrates OpenWiFi, OpenLAN Switching, CloudSDK-enabled controllers, Edge AI and AIOps.
According to Edgecore, this full-stack model aims to eliminate vendor lock-in and deliver interoperability across wired, wireless, and cloud environments.
“The world no longer needs another network – it needs an infrastructure that can evolve with it,” said Teng Tai Hsu, Vice President of Product at Edgecore Wi-Fi.
“Our 2026 portfolio combines community-driven openness with the scalability global operators demand.”
A key focus of the roadmap is commercial-grade scale, highlighted by forthcoming Wi-Fi 7 indoor and outdoor access points and an expanded switching portfolio. The platform also incorporates Edge AI and AIOps for predictive optimisation and automated fault prevention, along with converged IoT access supporting Wi-Fi HaLow, Matter, BLE, Zigbee and Thread.
Edgecore Wi-Fi will introduce the first products from its 2026 portfolio early next year, including the Wi-Fi 7 EAP115 indoor access point, the tri-band OAP106 outdoor unit and a Wi-Fi HaLow USB dongle designed to extend long-range IoT connectivity. The company plans additional gateways, HaLow devices and edge intelligence platforms throughout 2026.
