Capacity Middle East postponed due to Coronavirus

A Middle East telecommunications event has been postponed due to fears over Coronavirus.

Capacity Middle East, which was due to commence on March 2 in Dubai, has been called off following a consultation with customers and partners.

“The position has changed rapidly this week, as we are in a period of unprecedented volatility, and we are aware of the increasing concerns related to travel safety that have emerged over the last 48 hours,” said Ros Irving, CEO, Capacity Media.

“This decision has not been taken lightly but the health of our customers, partners and team is of paramount importance. We feel that as such an important event to the region, its postponement will allow the event to better serve its purpose.

“We sincerely appreciate all the work that our customers, partners and team have put into the planning of the event and we believe that a postponement offers the best option to deliver value and certainty to our partners and customers.

“We will communicate shortly with further information on new dates for the event, as well as what this means in terms of existing bookings for the event.”

The event will be rescheduled to a new date later this year.
