GITEX 2023 Preview: OPSWAT

Exhibiting under the theme, Modernising Critical Infrastructure Protection, CIP, OPSWAT will highlight the challenges in defending Middle East countries’ ever-evolving critical infrastructures and showcase the company’s proactive measures that can bring new confidence to the region’s OT security teams.

OPSWAT’s GITEX theme is designed to emphasize that merely maintaining the status quo in cybersecurity is not enough. As an industry we must take bold steps to address both current and future cyberthreats that could potentially compromise our infrastructure.

OPSWAT’s GITEX exhibit will house a comprehensive CIP Lab that will show IT and OT solutions, and how they work together to secure that which matters most.

On the OT side, featured in the CIP Lab will be Neuralyzer, an asset-visibility platform that plumbs the darkest depths of the technology stack to return much-needed control to OT and security professionals. GITEX guests will also see MetaAccess OT, the industrial-scale, secure remote-access appliance built for the enforcement of granular access control.

Also on display will be OTfuse, an industrial firewall designed for OT, ICS assets, serving as a last line of authentication for the validity of system commands. The Lab will include MetaDefender Vault, a secure file-storage system for cross-domain and internetwork transactions, and MetaDefender Kiosk, a media security solution for transferring files and devices back and forth between air-gapped and connected networks. NetWall, the company’s security gateway, will also be on display.

In terms of IT security solutions, OPSWAT will showcase MetaDefender Drive, a custom USB stick for screening laptops. To combat the rise of social engineering across the region, visitors to the stand should look out for the company’s Email Security solution, which offers anti-phishing and anti-spamming for on-prem and cloud-native hosting by applying Deep CDR, proactive DLP, and multi-scanning to ensure attachments are safe.

And to ensure that endpoints do not compromise compliance standards, MetaAccess secures machines while MetaDefender Secure Storage guards files at rest and in transit.

Alongside its product showcase, OPSWAT will use its presence at GITEX to spread awareness of its recent partnership with value-added distributor, VAD StarLink. It is a partnership aimed at offering regional customers a well-rounded approach to cybersecurity. As skills shortages and cyber challenges intensify, StarLink will be there to bring Middle East and Africa security professionals OPSWAT’s end-to-end cybersecurity platform.

In keeping with OPSWAT’s overall theme for GITEX, to help organisations plug the skills gap, the company will offer complimentary OPSWAT Academy training vouchers. By arming professionals with the knowledge and skills to proactively secure critical systems, OPSWAT is taking the first concrete steps towards fulfilling its GITEX theme’s call to action. These certificates not only represent education but also OPSWAT’s unwavering commitment to proactive cyber defence and preparedness.
