Informatica has announced the Summer 2025 update of its Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) platform, unveiling a suite of AI-powered enhancements aimed at giving enterprises seamless access to trusted, AI-ready data.
As more organisations accelerate digital transformation and AI adoption, Informatica’s latest release addresses growing demand for improved data transparency, governance and automation across the enterprise technology stack. The new capabilities span data integration, master data management (MDM), data quality and iPaaS – all designed to make managing and scaling AI initiatives more straightforward and dependable.
“AI and digital transformation are imperative to business growth, but these efforts are only as strong as the data behind them,” said Kelle Fontenot, Chief Digital Officer at KPMG. “Whether it’s building a report or using the most advanced generative AI model, access to trusted data is critical to ensure accurate and reliable outcomes.”
Among the centrepieces of the update is a significantly upgraded MDM suite. New tools such as CLAIRE Match Analysis and Explainability offer business users transparency around how data records are matched, and the ability to fine-tune those rules without relying on IT support.
Supervised learning capabilities further enhance accuracy over time. An Enrichment and Validation Orchestrator automates data workflows by linking Informatica’s own services with external data sources.
To reduce silos and enhance auditability, Informatica has also introduced a new Cloud Data Governance and Catalog scanner that integrates directly with MDM, enabling more cohesive data oversight across functions.
On the data integration front, the company has introduced Elastic Runtime Orchestration, now in tech preview, allowing users to run high-volume workflows on AWS without needing to manage underlying infrastructure. The CLAIRE Copilot for data integration – now generally available – brings interactive Q&A style assistance to development teams. Connectivity has also been expanded to include Microsoft Fabric Delta tables, Apache Iceberg, and log-based change data capture (CDC) for SAP HANA.
In the iPaaS space, Informatica is strengthening its platform with new connectors for NVIDIA NIM, Databricks Mosaic AI, and Snowflake Cortex AI. Support for Model Context Protocol servers enables AI agents and large language models to access IDMC assets with greater efficiency. Meanwhile, a new Recipe Marketplace lets users share reusable workflow templates for both AI and business process automation.
To help organisations track and govern AI efforts more effectively, Informatica has introduced an AI Governance Inventory, designed to catalogue and monitor models, datasets and related approvals. Additional features include real-time data quality checks via REST APIs and AI-powered lineage discovery tools, all intended to accelerate deployment cycles and ensure compliance from day one.
