Digital Dubai’s participation at GITEX Global 2025 reaffirmed Dubai’s position as a global leader in Digital Transformation, unveiling cutting-edge AI-driven systems and initiatives designed to enhance data maturity, public services and youth innovation.
Digital Dubai concluded a distinguished participation at GITEX Global 2025, reaffirming Dubai’s position as a global leader in Digital Transformation and governance. This year’s participation showcased the government’s latest advancements in AI, digital data systems and citizen-centred innovation aimed at improving the quality of life for every resident and visitor of Dubai.
Held at Dubai World Trade Centre from October 13 to 17, 2025, GITEX Global brought together more than 6,000 exhibitors from 170 countries and 1,400 global speakers, making it the world’s largest technology event. The Dubai Government Pavilion, organised by Digital Dubai, hosted more than 50 government and private sector entities, presenting pioneering initiatives that reflect Dubai’s ambition to be the world’s leading digital capital.
A vision for a data-driven, AI-enabled future
H.E. Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director General of Digital Dubai, said: “GITEX Global is a highly anticipated annual event that brings together decision-makers and experts from around the world to shape the future of technology. Driving AI maturity and empowering government systems
H.E. Younus Al Nasser, CEO of the Dubai Data and Statistics Establishment, introduced CodAI, a platform developed to elevate AI maturity across government entities, alongside the GeoStat Agent, Talk to Your Data and the Dubai Dashboard, offering real-time, 360-degree insights into city performance.
“Digital Dubai’s participation at GITEX this year embodies the vision of a city driven by data and empowered by artificial intelligence, leveraging intelligent digital agents to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of services and programmes across all sectors,” said H.E. Al Nasser. “It offers a forward-thinking vision of a smart city where data flows through a dynamic ecosystem fostering prosperity, growth and overall wellbeing.”
The projects align with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to double Dubai’s economy and position it among the top three global cities by 2033. According to the World Bank, AI adoption could add US$150 billion to the Middle East’s GDP by 2030, with the UAE leading regional readiness in data infrastructure and AI governance.
Transforming digital governance through Agentic AI
H.E. Matar Al Hemeiri, CEO of the Dubai Government Digital Establishment, highlighted the introduction of AI agents specialising in procurement, recruitment and digital product management, designed to enhance the agility of Dubai’s government services.
“Through our fully integrated digital services, leveraging artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things, we are advancing into a new era of smart engagement where services are more accessible, seamless and user focused. This approach enhances daily life for the community, supports the expansion of the digital economy and fosters Dubai’s position as a global leader in adopting future-ready technologies.”
Empowering youth through innovation
In line with the UAE Centennial 2071 and Dubai’s D33 Agenda, the Digital Dubai Youth Council partnered with the Dubai Youth Council to launch “RAED: Your Digital Accelerator”, a permanent youth platform designed to nurture digital entrepreneurship and equip young innovators with future-ready skills.
Reem Al Falasi, President of the Dubai Youth Council and the Digital Dubai Youth Council, said: “Empowering youth is not temporary, it is an essential and constant investment in shaping the city’s future. Every innovative young person is a partner in realising our strategy to digitalise life and cement Dubai’s position as one of the world’s leading cities.”
AI and space: showcasing the UAE’s national identity
Digital Dubai also signed a memorandum of understanding with the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) to develop the AI-Powered Emirati Family Project, which integrates verified space-science data and Emirati astronaut content to promote national identity through AI storytelling.
H.E. Salem Humaid Al Marri, Director General of MBRSC, and H.E. Tariq Yousef Al Janahi, CEO of Corporate Enablement Sector at Digital Dubai, attended the signing ceremony, reinforcing the UAE’s commitment to merging AI technology with cultural innovation.
Global recognition and collaborative momentum
With record-breaking participation, GITEX Global 2025 underscored Dubai’s growing influence as a hub for innovation and digital governance. The government’s unified pavilion demonstrated a model of inter-agency collaboration and AI-powered governance, solidifying its status as a benchmark for smart city development globally.
According to McKinsey & Company (2025), governments that embed data and artificial intelligence into decision-making can unlock up to US$3.5 trillion in annual productivity gains worldwide. The study highlights that technology-led public sector reforms significantly enhance efficiency, accelerate service delivery and strengthen citizen trust, outcomes that reflect Dubai’s leadership in developing predictive, human-centric digital governance systems.
