Zain Jordan has selected Ericsson to advance the next phase of its Business Support Systems (BSS) transformation, extending a long-standing partnership to modernise its IT infrastructure and strengthen digital service delivery for the 5G era.
The latest phase expands the scope of the project to include Zain Jordan’s postpaid business, enabling new revenue opportunities while supporting the operator’s broader digital transformation strategy. The upgrade is designed to improve customer experience, increase operational efficiency and accelerate the launch and monetisation of new digital services.
Under the agreement, Ericsson will deploy its cloud-native Billing solution on Red Hat OpenShift within Zain Jordan’s private cloud, enhancing scalability, flexibility and cost efficiency while supporting agile 5G monetisation. The project also includes the deployment of Ericsson’s Telco DataOps Platform to provide real-time data streaming, proactive customer experience management and network optimisation, while laying the foundation for AI-driven autonomous networks.
In addition, Ericsson will introduce a catalog-driven architecture for postpaid services through new catalogue and order management capabilities, enabling faster rollout of innovative products and services.
