Veeam has been named a Champion, the highest category awarded, in Omdia’s 2026 Global Managed Backup and Disaster Recovery Leadership Matrix.

According to the report, Veeam achieved the strongest leadership positioning among the vendors evaluated. Omdia highlighted the company’s MSP ecosystem, which includes more than 12,000 partners participating in the Veeam Cloud & Service Provider (VCSP) programme.

“Being named a Champion by Omdia validates Veeam’s leadership in helping MSPs deliver trusted data resilience at scale,” said Michelle Graff, SVP of Global Partnerships at Veeam. “With more than 12,000 MSP partners and continued investment across our platform, partner programs and roadmap, Veeam is committed to helping service providers protect customer data, recover quickly from disruption and build new growth opportunities in the agentic AI era.”

Omdia’s Champion category recognises vendors demonstrating strong performance across areas including partner strategy and execution, portfolio competitiveness, ecosystem feedback and performance metrics.

Vendors included in the research were also required to meet criteria covering minimum BDR revenue, technology capabilities, a dedicated MSP go-to-market strategy and a significant proportion of channel-driven business.

The report also examines developments within Veeam’s portfolio, including Veeam Data Platform v13 and its acquisition of Securiti AI. The acquisition extends Veeam’s capabilities into areas including Data Security Posture Management (DSPM), privacy governance and AI-related data security.

Veeam currently works with more than 550,000 customers worldwide.
