Khalifa University students will gain hands-on experience with data centre infrastructure as the UAE institution integrates AWS training and curriculum into its engineering education.
Khalifa University of Science and Technology is integrating AWS Data Center Infrastructure training into its curriculum as it seeks to develop more graduates with practical skills for the UAE’s expanding data centre sector.
Students will gain hands-on experience using a data centre training rack supplied by AWS, alongside the AWS Academy Data Center Engineering Operations curriculum delivered by Khalifa University faculty.
The programme will initially be led by the university’s Computer and Information Engineering Department before being extended to students studying Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
Top-performing participants shortlisted by Khalifa University will also have an opportunity to apply for work experience positions at AWS in the UAE through a dedicated application channel, subject to AWS’s recruitment process and business requirements.

The initiative is intended to provide students with practical Data Centre Engineering Operations knowledge alongside their academic studies.
