Silver Peak has announced that the company’s SD-WAN offering, Unity EdgeConnect, has attained VMware Ready status for Network Functions Virtualisation (NFV). This designation indicates that after a detailed validation process, EdgeConnect has achieved VMware’s highest level of endorsement, and can be found on the VMware Solution Exchange .
With Unity EdgeConnect achieving VMware Ready status for NFV, Silver Peak and VMware are providing partners and customers with a solution to augment or replace their MPLS networks with any form of broadband connectivity. With Silver Peak’s SD-WAN solution, IT organisations gain the ability to centrally assign business intent policies to secure and control all WAN traffic over any source of connectivity.
