Huawei continues IT investment in KSA’s Digital Transformation

Huawei joined the Saudi-Chinese Investment Forum to share success stories and future goals to drive KSA’s Digital Transformation through Chinese investment.

The one-day event, supported by HRH Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defence, was hosted in collaboration with the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority and the International Co-operation Centre of National Development and Reform Commission in China.

The event witnessed the attendance of more than 1,000 decision makers, investors and visitors interested in the KSA market including Huawei’s Vice President, Mark Xue.

“We see KSA as our long-term strategic partner, as we aim to fulfill our corporate responsibilities in KSA and continue to invest in stable, long-term evolution.

“During the past 14 years we’ve deployed more than 6,500 field engineers and 4,000 R&D personnel to guarantee the stability of the communications network during the Hajj Seasons in Mecca City in collaboration with our local partners.

“Huawei will continue to invest in ICT talent development. We will train 10,000 ICT professionals in 2022 and certify 5,000 professionals in the Kingdom alone.  “Our aim is to proceed with our investment in developing the latest ICT infrastructure in KSA and support the country’s Digital Transformation. At the same time, we continue to invest US$20 million each year in local innovation and US$500 million yearly for local procurement to grow with our 140 local partners.”
