Social impact application
In disease management, for example, deep tech has been a means to identify the social and environmental factors of the patient through speech during the consultation. It accelerates clinical documentation and, at the same time, personalizes the individual’s journey, as the process includes genetic mapping and decentralized clinical tests.
Within this topic, it is also worth mentioning that another significant area of action in the segment is digital health making it possible to democratize access to more efficient services for the population.
As for urban mobility, the category has been associated with the development of fairer, more reliable and decentralized business models for the ‘sharing economy’, as is the case with delivery applications.
Some of the solutions observed in this regard are autonomous vehicles, such as deliveries or visual mapping by drones, as well as the optimization of the flow of people in areas of high population concentration.
Or if we look at the environment, deep tech has been combating global warming not only by scaling platforms of energy efficiency and clean energy but also by promoting the expansion of credit models and carbon compensation, the development of more sustainable supply chains and platforms supporting the circular economy.
These are examples of how this new concept is not just a fashionable strategic flag for the corporate world. It is a way to produce concrete technological tools, taking advantage of the best that process digitization offers and helping to develop the customer experience in a sustainable, scalable and human way.
Any company that intends to remain relevant through these characteristics should adopt deep tech. The power of differentiation that the category creates with innovative resources, especially for the new digital economy, is essential for amplifying business results. The reason is that it is a technology with a soul that understands the essence of its function in changing the culture and values of society, going far beyond robotics, algorithms or semiconductors.
Therefore, companies must put a more critical lens on their innovation investments. Only then is it possible that the result of your choices will be able to positively impact those around you.
