DATEN invests in unmanned aerial vehicles sector

DATEN, a Brazilian company specializing in the production of computer equipment, has announced an investment to accelerate JETWIND, an Unmanned Vehicle Engineering company.

This partnership is part of the expansion strategy of DATEN to stimulate other relevant sectors in the country. It represents a significant step in demonstrating its commitment to innovation, research and development with direct mentorship and expertise from one of the directors, Flávio Costa.

With DATEN technology know-how, the collaboration enables access to mapping, imaging and inspection solutions for public agencies and companies that must carry out strategic intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance actions in sectors such as defense, public security, industries and agribusiness.

JETWIND’s highlight is the RQ-17 ION, a modular system that allows the customization of configurations according to demands through adaptive mission configuration. This feature is currently under patent application by the company.

This customization reduces investments regarding the constant acquisition of new equipment for each activity, as is the complexity of training and maintenance. Flávio Costa, Partner-Director, DATEN, said: “The differentials are numerous and innovative within the Brazilian market, expanding our interest in investing in new research and development fronts. We are excited to bring the expertise of our company to this project.

“We are thrilled to expand investments and research in other sectors and unmanned aerial vehicles are part of this project, especially considering how this new technology can help foster innovation in Brazil.”
