Nexxt Solutions, Infrastructure Division, a manufacturer of infrastructure and structured cabling solutions, has introduced its new Naxos and Vertex series of desktop switches.

The switches are specially designed for the home automation environment and small and medium-sized businesses.

The new solutions are pitched as ‘standing out’ for their versatility, high data transfer rates, high energy efficiency and ease of installation and use.

“These switches are specially designed for the home automation environment and small and medium-sized companies that seek to expand and optimize their local wired network to accommodate a greater number of increasingly complex, multifunctional and interactive devices and thus meet the demand for a significant increase in Internet connection capabilities,” said Fernando Bocanegra, Territory Manager of Nexxt Solutions Infrastructure for Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela and Bolivia.

The Gigabit switches in both series feature five to eight 10, 100 and 1000 Mbps Ethernet ports, all with advanced auto-detection and negotiation, storage-forwarding switching.

“These advantages allow them to optimize the bandwidth and speed of data transfer to and from each device individually and according to the needs of the moment. This helps reduce congestion and redundant network communication and makes it easier to send large files to servers, Drives and printers at Gigabit speeds, ranging from 10 to 18 Gbps, “ Bocanegra said.

The compatibility standards of the Naxos and Vertex series ensure an organic and immediate adaptation to different Ethernet environments.

Naxos is pitched as ‘perfectly suited’ to low-density projects with its desktop switches with 5 and 8 network ports.

In the case of the Vertex series, with 5 and 9 PoE+ network ports, the advantage of the 802.3af/at PoE standard is added – allowing it to directly power several compatible devices such as access points, VoIP phones or IP security cameras.

“Our switches are plug-and-play, so they don’t require configuration to integrate them into a network. In addition, their compact construction, LED indicators for monitoring power, link and activity, and a fanless passive cooling system, which ensures quiet operation and high energy efficiency, make them the simplest and most efficient solution for the times of continuous expansion of the Internet of Things in our homes and businesses.” said Bocanegra.

“From the brand we seek the ideal balance between advanced technology, consistent operation and a comprehensive service to our customers. That is why all our switches have a 2-year basic warranty, which can be optionally extended for an additional 3 years for a total of 5 years.”
