Award salutes connection speed of 36.59 megabytes.
For the fifth consecutive year, Personal Argentina has been recognised by Ookla as having the fastest mobile Internet network in the country.
Personal Argentina – Telecom Argentina’s fixed and mobile connectivity services company – is now the first operator in Latin America to obtain this distinction.
The award was presented by Ookla at the Mobile World Congress 2024 in Barcelona to recognise a connection speed of 36.59 megabytes.
Personal is present throughout the country with 4G coverage in 98% of the population, while 95% of traffic is carried over this network.
Personal says this shows the preference of customers not only to always be connected, but that speed is more than important in their experience of the service.

With an investment plan in infrastructure, systems and services in the order of US$ 6,000 million in the last 6 years, Telecom has managed to evolve from a traditional telco to a tech-co – with a digital business strategy that allows it to expand the regional footprint. In addition, Personal continues to carry out the greatest transformation of its network infrastructure, both mobile and fixed, introducing new access technologies that allow higher speeds and also contributing to optimizing the quality of service in terms of stability and availability, which significantly improves the user experience in their Internet connection both inside and outside the home.
The 4.5G (4G+) network is already active on 100% of the network. Since 2021, the company began deploying 5G infrastructure.
Personal has already put into operation the first 100 full 5G sites using the spectrum recently tendered through public procurement, in different cities of the country.
