DHL Supply Chain and Robust.AI launch five-year alliance to scale collaborative robotics in Mexico

DHL Supply Chain has entered into a a five-year strategic alliance with Robust.AI to accelerate the next generation of logistics automation in Mexico.

Following successful deployments in North America, DHL will introduce 15 of Robust.AI’s Carter collaborative robots into its retail operations in Mexico – marking the first deployment of this technology in DHL’s Latin American operations.

The agreement strengthens an expanding partnership focused on co-development, feature innovation and a scalable roadmap for broader regional expansion. Robust.AI is one of DHL’s selected strategic robotics partners, with Carter already delivering commercial value across multiple North American sites and additional deployments planned throughout the Americas.

In North America, Carter has improved productivity by more than 60% while enhancing safety and operational efficiency. In Mexico, early results show productivity gains of 30%.

The robots will integrate with DHL’s Warehouse Management System under a phased rollout designed to deliver immediate operational benefits while enabling deeper system integration over time.

Carter’s modular architecture supports flexible deployment. It can begin with motor-assisted movement to reduce physical strain and improve ergonomics before advancing to autonomous navigation and intelligent point-to-point goods movement. This adaptability allows DHL to align robotics adoption with each facility’s technological readiness and evolving customer demands.

DHL plans to deploy hundreds of Carter robots across the Americas in the coming years, reinforcing its commitment to scalable, human-centered automation that drives measurable value for customers, employees and the business.
