LoopUp and Digicel have partnered to introduce the Caribbean region’s first Microsoft-certified Operator Connect service, enabling businesses to integrate enterprise telephony directly with Microsoft Teams across multiple markets.
The strategic partnership combines LoopUp’s cloud telephony platform with Digicel’s extensive communications network and enterprise customer base throughout the Caribbean and Central America. The service will target business customers seeking to modernise communications while reducing the cost and complexity of legacy phone systems.
Operator Connect enables organisations to integrate business calling with Microsoft Teams using Microsoft’s certified deployment model. Employees can make and receive business calls from any Teams-enabled device while benefiting from a unified communications experience. Businesses can also retire traditional PBX infrastructure, simplifying management and lowering operating costs.
Steve Flavell, Co-CEO of LoopUp, said: “Partnering with Digicel is a significant milestone in LoopUp’s international expansion. Not only are we bringing the first Operator Connect capability to the region with Digicel, but we’re also extending our market-leading global country coverage for our multinational enterprise customers.”
The partnership strengthens Digicel Business’ expanding cloud services portfolio, serving organisations across financial services, hospitality, government and energy that have already adopted Microsoft Teams.
Liam Donnelly, Chief Business Officer for Digicel Group, said: “Our customers are asking for smarter, simpler ways to communicate. By partnering with LoopUp, we can deliver a seamless, fully managed Microsoft Teams telephony experience backed by Digicel’s regional network, local expertise and Microsoft-certified Operator Connect.”
The new service became available to Digicel Business customers across the Caribbean from July 2026.
