Siigo has acquired Chilean cloud software company Bsale and committed US$100 million to expanding across Latin America, escalating competition for the region’s growing small business technology market.
The Accel-KKR-backed accounting software provider will integrate Bsale’s sales management platform with its existing accounting, payroll and administrative systems, creating a broader software offering for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Founded two decades ago, Bsale operates across Chile, Mexico and Peru, providing cloud software that connects physical retail operations, e-commerce platforms and other sales channels.
Siigo intends to double Bsale’s business in the coming years, although it has not disclosed financial targets or a timetable.
David Ortiz, CEO, Siigo Latam, described the acquisition as “a long-term commitment to sales software in Latin America.”
The transaction marks Siigo’s second acquisition in Chile following its 2025 purchase of local software provider Kame.
Siigo currently operates in Colombia, Ecuador, Uruguay, Peru, Mexico and Chile, employing more than 4,500 people and serving approximately 1.3 million SMEs and accountants.
Its newly announced US$100 million regional investment programme will support Bsale’s expansion into additional markets, strengthen existing operations and accelerate artificial intelligence development.
The company plans to embed AI capabilities into business software, helping SMEs automate administrative processes, analyse commercial data and improve operational decision-making.
Bsale co-founder Elvira Montero said joining Siigo would help entrepreneurs organise their businesses across Latin America.
The acquisition reflects intensifying consolidation in Latin America’s fragmented SME software sector, where integrated cloud platforms and AI automation are becoming increasingly important competitive battlegrounds.
