Oracle to make Google Gemini AI models available through OCI

Oracle and Google Cloud have expanded their partnership to provide customers with access to Google’s Gemini models, beginning with Gemini 2.5, through the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Generative AI service.

The integration allows Oracle customers to apply Gemini for use cases such as multimodal understanding, coding and software development, workflow automation, research and knowledge retrieval.

Oracle said it plans to extend access to the full Gemini portfolio via new integrations with Google’s Vertex AI. This will include models for video, image, speech and music generation, as well as industry-specific options such as MedLM for healthcare.

In the longer term, Oracle expects to integrate Gemini into Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, offering customers additional options to enhance workflows in finance, HR, supply chain, sales, service and marketing. Customers will be able to use their existing Oracle Universal Credits for Gemini model access.

“Today, leading enterprises are using Gemini to power AI agents across a range of use cases and industries,” said Thomas Kurian, CEO, Google Cloud.

“Now, Oracle customers can access our leading models from within their Oracle environments, making it even easier for them to begin deploying powerful AI agents that can support developers and streamline data integration tasks.”

The partnership underlines the growing trend of cloud providers working together to expand enterprise access to advanced AI tools.
