HCA Healthcare has completed deployment of MEDITECH’s Expanse electronic health record platform across its Capital and North Florida divisions, taking the system live at 34 hospitals.
HCA Healthcare has completed the rollout of a cloud-based electronic health record (EHR) platform across 34 hospitals in two of its US divisions.
The healthcare provider has implemented MEDITECH Expanse across 18 hospitals in its Capital Division, covering Virginia and New Hampshire, and 16 hospitals in its North Florida Division.
They are the first two of HCA Healthcare’s 15 US divisions to complete the deployment as part of a wider programme across its US and UK operations.
The latest implementations follow an initial rollout involving 22 hospitals during 2025. By August 2026, 72 HCA Healthcare hospitals across the US and UK were running Expanse, with another group scheduled to go live in October.
The platform provides a common foundation for clinical information and workflows and includes mobile access, clinical decision support and Artificial Intelligence capabilities.

HCA Healthcare handles approximately 47 million patient encounters annually and uses the resulting data to identify insights and develop clinical practices.
