Edenred acquisition of Reward Gateway set to tackle IT talent shortages through employee focused solutions

Global employee engagement company, Reward Gateway has been acquired by the world’s leading platform for people at work, Edenred for AUD$2.15 billion (GBP£1.15 billion) from funds managed by Abry Partners and Castik Capital.

The deal will see an accelerated delivery of a comprehensive range of solutions and most notably, an extended reach of Reward Gateway‘s platform into new regions and countries.

It will bring Human Resources departments access to a unique, multi-country employee benefits and engagement platform, empowering them to build the right combination of benefits and engagement tools to meet the changing needs of their people and their company.

The acquisition of Reward Gateway by Edenred is pitched as providing an opportunity to leverage Edenred’s extensive global coverage to broaden and deepen our employee experience solutions across APAC and globally.

Reward Gateway has experienced exceptional growth in recent years, partnering with over 600 Australian and New Zealand employers (including Suncorp, Peoplecare and PYBAR Mining Services) to provide engagement solutions for over one million employees.

In Australia, employers are facing a difficult combination of challenges with; talent shortages at record highs, pay pressure in a high inflation environment along with the complexities of driving connection and culture in an increasingly dispersed workforce.
