Veteran Gartner Analyst Neil McMurchy has joined the board of Australian AI scale-up Clear Dynamics.
McMurchy’s initial priority is advising on the build out of the partner program serving as the ‘engine room’ of the company’s scale-up strategy.
McMurchy spent more than two decades at Gartner, most recently as Research Vice President, Growth Strategies
“After three decades in the IT industry I thought I’d seen it all, that was until I saw Clear Dynamics,” McMurchy said. “The problem they help solve is one that plagues almost every major enterprise and public sector agency, one that until now has never had a simple solution – transforming the truly business critical applications that organisations live or die on.
“These are legacy applications that have been built and reiterated upon over decades, things like loan origination for banks, billing systems at telcos and energy suppliers, even hospital patient administration. Despite a wave of Digital Transformation initiatives in recent years, these applications have been left behind in a black hole because the traditional approach meant there was too much cost, complexity and risk involved in changing them.”
