Online platform KairosWebTV launched in Nigeria

KairosWebTV, a next-generation online TV platform for emerging and aspiring entrepreneurs, is set to transform Nigeria’s online television space. www.kairosweb.TV is run by CIHAN and focuses on motivating and inspiring viewers to success seven channels with content partners from all over the world.

Speaking at the media launch in Lagos, Chief Executive Officer of CIHAN, Celestine Achi, and founder of KairosWebTV said that KairosWebTV was designed to save cost for the viewers, adding that the era of reaping pay TV viewers must be challenged through disruptive technologies.

Achi said that KairosWebTV has been configured to save user data, which has been the reason some people are keeping off online platforms like this. “We want to restore confidence in the minds of digital natives, while providing enabling ground for the digital migrants to approach the power of the internet. Whether you are on 2G, 3G or 4G LTE, the experience will be such that videos should show seamlessly.”

The platform targets local contents as part of the measure to boost digital migration to Nollywood contents. The channels include Entrepreneurship, NetNEWS, Winlos, TechSavvy, E-Event, EduSense, Digital PR.

Chief Executive Officer of Red Sapphire, Ono Akpe, said that as online media partners to Nigerian Olympics Committee for Rio Olympics 2016, TeamNaija channel is working with a media consortium for live streaming of the Olympic games.
